Find your people.
Step into the water
together.
ShoreThing began, as many good things do, by accident.
A tram rattling through Melbourne. Two strangers, side by side, a passing comment — and suddenly the quiet recognition of something shared.
Salty types have a way of finding each other.
"Sharing waves, giving waves away — there's a spirituality in that."
Bob McTavish"A friend may be waiting behind a stranger's face."
Maya AngelouAnd yet, finding those people — the ones who understand the early alarms, the cold wind, the long paddles, the quiet joy — can be strangely hard.
ShoreThing exists for that space in between.
ShoreThing grows slowly, by invitation only. A handful of passes, shared carefully — the way good waves are shared.
It's not about scale. It never was. It's about trust. About presence. About choosing the outside world over the glow of a screen.
Not a social network, not really. No followers to gather, no likes to chase. Just a place — like a noticeboard in a sun-faded surf shop window.
